Saint Bridget School Grade Eight Students
Annual Fundraiser Collects 1,573lbs. for the Cheshire Food Pantry
Cheshire, CT. (October 1st, 2021) Grade Eight students at Saint Bridget School located in Cheshire, held their annual Stuff-a-Bus fundraiser to collect non-perishable food and household items to be given to the Cheshire Food Pantry. This year, the students, staff and parishioners of Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish donated 1,573lbs of items, up from last year’s 1,216lbs. Items were delivered to the food pantry and will be distributed to community members in need.
This event is completely organized by Grade Eight students and their two teachers, Mrs. Fitzpatrick and Ms. Carroll, and continues to be an important community ministry project for all Saint Bridget students. Our principal, Dr. Nancy Testa, shared that she is beyond elated with the generous support of the annual collection and is grateful to all the students, families and parishioners who contributed to support the community.
Saint Bridget School serves the students of its parishioners as well as those from over 20 surrounding communities. To learn more about Saint Bridget School, please visit our website at www.stbridgetschool.org.
