Archdiocesan Anniversary Mass

The Archdiocese of Hartford is celebrating its’ annual Wedding Anniversary Mass in conjunction with the observance of National Marriage Week (February 9 – 15, 2025) an international event seeking to strengthen marriages in communities and influence the current culture.

National Marriage Week is an opportunity for the Catholic Church to focus on and celebrate the vocation to marriage and family life. It is an opportunity for the Catholic faithful to renew and deepen the lived experience of the Sacrament of Marriage – and bear witness to God’s call to love.

To accommodate the gap in between 2024 and 2025, all anniversaries in the year 2024 and 2025 will be recognized at the Anniversary Mass on February 15, 2025.

Be in your seat by 3:45 PM. Please arrive with ample time to retrieve your certificate, find seating to accommodate you and your guests and to have your photo taken with the Archbishop.

No, seating is first come, first serve.

The celebrating couple may bring as many guests as they like.

The guests and the anniversary couple can all sit together.

At the rear entrance to the Cathedral (use the Asylum Avenue entrance) there is both handicapped parking and an elevator that can be used for easy access to the main nave of the Cathedral.

Certificates will be distributed in the vestibule near the restrooms and elevator prior to the start of Mass. Doors will open at 3 p.m. Note: For those unable to attend, a certificate will be mailed after the Mass to the address provided upon registration.

Yes. Each anniversary couple is invited to have their photo taken with the Archbishop, before Mass from 3:15 – 3:45 PM. Photos will be available on-line at no cost. An email notification will be sent to each registered anniversary couple when the photos are posted.  NOTE: The Archbishop will be available after Mass for additional photos taken with personal cameras and cell phones. The professional photographer is not available after Mass.
