Marriage Enrichment
Good marriages can always be made better! Pope Francis described marriage as “a project to be worked on together” and a “process of growth” (Amoris Laetitia, no. 218, 221).
Looking for a way to enrich your marriage? The Office of Faith Formation and Parish Life is here to support marriages at all stages. We hope to accompany you and your spose with prayer, reflection and skills to strengthen your marriage and grow in your faith.
National Marriage Week, February 7 - 14, 2025, is an opportunity to celebrate, strengthen and maybe try something new in your marriage. This year's theme is "Pursuing a Lasting Love". Prayer and sharing your faith with your spouse is one of the ways you can pursue a lasting love.
Below are some ways couples can not only celebrate National Marriage Week, but add a different practice of prayer.
Resources for Couples
It is important for couples to stay connected and grow in their faith, not only as individuals, but together as a married couple. Here are some ways to celebrate National Marriage Week this year:
- Lectio Divina for Couples: As couple, Lection Divina can help you draw closer to God and honor Him in your marriage. Practicing this form of prayer allows partners to strengthen communion with God and knowledge of His word individually and seek His presence together through shared reflection.
- Couples Retreat at Home: Can’t get away? An at home retreat can be the next best thing to take a break from everyday distractions and find time for each other to strengthen your marriage and family life.
Marriage Enrichment
Endure is a post wedding, marriage enrichment initiative, geared towards empowering couples with proven strategies and key marriage skills. Endure is NOT a program, it is a process designed to strengthen a couple’s relationship, create deeper understanding of the sacramentality of marriage, establish lasting connections with other couples and increase involvement in the parish community.
