New England Catholic Biblical School
The New England Catholic Biblical School (NECBS) offers Certificates in Biblical Studies to prepare individuals seeking deepened theological knowledge, both for personal and spiritual enrichment, and for lay ministry in the Church.
The Certificates in Biblical Studies are accredited by the State of Connecticut Department of Higher Education. All NECBS faculty are Catholics in good standing and hold at least one graduate degree in a related theological discipline. Several of our instructors hold doctoral degrees.
NECBS is part of Saint Thomas Seminary. NECBS Certificates in Biblical Studies supports the mission of the Seminary to form individuals for a variety of ministries in the Church today, training them in theological studies and forming them spiritually under the sponsorship and the authority of the Archbishop of Hartford.
